GOP Must Learn
The GOP must LEARN … STOP engineering the candidacy of RINOs, Liberals and Ultra Liberals within the GOP Party.
On Thursday The Weekly Standard received a statement from Sarah Palin of her endorsement against GOP establishment-endorsed candidate Scozzafava. Rick Santorum, Dick Armey, Michelle Bachmann, Fred Thompson, Steve Forbes have all backed Hoffman & are bucking the party standard. National Republican figures taking a stand against the Washington wing of the party means two things: Conservatives are now willing to take bold political chances in order to move the party toward purer party principles like small government and lower taxes. But it could also backfire: A Ross Perot-like split of NY-23 could mean the district going to a Democrat, Bill Owens, for the first time in over 100 years. Hell Yeah. Send the nation douche bag leaders a message.
Palin’s certainly living up to her ‘rogue’ status. In supporting conservative candidate Doug Hoffman in NY (23), I sure hope the GOP gets the message that running an ‘in your face’ liberal Republican against a liberal Democrat leaves most Republicans with no choice at all. When there is a clear conservative candidate, voters will gravitate to that person, as they’ve done with Doug Hoffman. Three cheers to Palin for the endorsement and especially for drawing a line in the sand between conservatism and the Republican Party establishment.
This race is an anomaly; Hoffman, running under the Conservative Party, is a Republican and will caucus with them as he has stated. The Conservative Party in NY which is conservative Republican has been established for many decades. The other third parties are wing nuts, do not work and only insure a Democrat victory. If Hoffman wins on Palin’s endorsement it will be HUGE! I’m beginning to believe that this NY 23 gambit is an attempt by the RNC establishment to test the resolve of the Tea Party Republicans. They’re going to get their clocks cleaned if conservatives in the Republican district are, well conservatives.
I want a lot of RNC establishment elites to have sphincters in a state of paralysis after this election ends. I notice that they are already making excuses for their Democrat-lite candidate. Wailing and complaining that if conservatives have a say and are allowed to criticize the chosen ones, the GOP will never win anything. The RINO running on the GOP ticket in NY and supported by the establishment, Scozzafava, is further left than all the Blue Dog Dems, and most Democrats. She is pro-choice, pro-card check, pro-union and is pro-taxes. And people wonder why the GOP got hammered in ‘06 and ‘08.
Doesn’t surprise me Palin is supporting Hoffman. No more parties, vote for the best man or woman for the job. It is my understanding that Romney and Huckabee bailed on this race. On Thursday, Pawlenty declined to weigh-in on the race. They didn’t want to take a stand. Gingrich has foolishly endorsed Scozzafava. Ha! He needs to go back on his travel tour with Pelosi and Sharpton. That opened up a huge hole for Sarah to drive through with national movement conservatives. But the GOP ‘elites will have you believe it’s the fault of conservatives that RINOs lose elections?! Interesting logic. Now the question is whether Sarah is going to put the petal to the metal and actually show up for a rally. Sarah’s endorsement, along with Michele Bachmann’s, may just garner the victory for Hoffman.
This is exactly the kind of action that will advance the conservative agenda. The only people that are sad, are anti-conservatives and liberal Republicans. Palin just drove a stake through the heart of ANY Republican that supports the RINO…and threw down the gauntlet for leadership of the GOP.
Every word, every single word, of her statement has the solid ring of truth. Here is Sarah’s Facebook posting:
Support Doug Hoffman
Thursday at 5:28pm
The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches! He needs our help now.
The votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it’s important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York. I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York’s 23rd Congressional district. It’s my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.
Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a “time for choosing.”
The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas.
And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine.
Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.
Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of “blurring the lines” between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate who more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. This is why Doug Hoffman is running on the Conservative Party’s ticket.
Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.
You can help Doug by visiting his official website below and joining me in supporting his campaign:

Conservatives outside the Beltway are fed up with GOP leadership. Its time to send a message. One message we can send is DO NOT DONATE to the national party such as the RNC, NRSC or NRCC. If you donate to the GOP, send money directly to the candidate. Once again, Sarah Palin does the principled thing, endorsing Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman.
