The Obama Economy – In Pictures

August 20, 2013

54

Our economy is hemorrhaging.

Americans enjoyed the benefits of living in a AAA reserve currency country for 66 years. Until Obama came along. Despite a mess of world events and polls with failure written all over them, Obama fled to the beaches and golf links of Martha’s Vineyard to live-out his provincial life. The economy is sick. Detroit became the largest U.S. city to file for bankruptcy. Chicago has an unfunded pension liability of $19B. The state of Illinois $100B. College graduates are underemployed and under siege with debt.

Meanwhile, the percentage of civilians 16 years and older working or actively looking for work reached a 34-year low. The  labor force participation rate has fallen to 63.4%. The lowest point since December 1978. Pages in the Code of Federal Regulations hit an all-time high of 174,545 in 2012 at a cost of $1.8 trillion, roughly equal to the GDP of Canada. Our $16.7 trillion total debt is now 106% of the $15.8 trillion economy.

And, 75% of small-business owners say they intend to reduce hours, hiring and employees due to ObamaCare. And yet, the excess fiscal drag on the horizon still looms with ObamaCare-related taxes. As everyday Americans face healthcare premium rate shock, Obama has unilaterally decided that the government can and must “control” climate. A dangerous premise introducing yet more rounds of energy-related regulation, subsidies, and taxation via Executive fiat.

Despite all the attention of federal spending cuts and sequestration, the real fiscal headwinds comes almost entirely from rising taxes and burdensome mandates. The growth killer is the Affordable Care Act. With this uncertainty pushed out another year, no robust macro improvements can be expected at all. Simply multiply 330 million by $6,000 which is the current annual cost of individual healthcare insurance today and you ‘begin’ to get the picture.  Will it collapse under its own weight?

Dodd-Frank is starting to dry up the money supply and is forcing banks and other institutions to spend huge amounts on regulatory compliance which is just another form of taxation. We have 50M on food stamps, 24M unemployed and 11M on disability, and all these numbers are going up. Black youth unemployment is 42%. Adding insult to injury, is the amnesty of cheap labor; where 25M illegal aliens seek ‘citizenship’ and federal benefits – further eroding supply and demand and wages of workers.

Its unsustainable. Our GDP is growing a paltry 1.5 %. That means we’re shedding, not producing jobs. The real unemployment rate is well-over 18%. In July, the jobless rate rose in 28 states. With a smaller and smaller portion of the working population supporting a growing part of the non-working population and the government monetizing the national debt how long can it be until the economy simply collapses?

Simply put, Obama’s policies are crushing the U.S. economy. In pictures.

    1. Fix America First

    2. Prioritize , a good example is the best teacher.

    3. Recycle America

    4. Create Accountability

    5. Build a new Society before retiring the old decrepit one we have now.

    6. Build a new Government before retiring the old decrepit one we have now.

    7. Build a new Economy before retiring the old decrepit one we have now.

    8. Build a new Educational System before retiring the old decrepit one we have now.

    9. Build a new Judicial System before retiring the old decrepit one we have now.

10.build new bridges and a new electrical grid

prioritize people family and children ……turn things around……provide jobs completing the above task…..take the elites jobs and money they have done it to the working class. build a good foundation then rebuild. reinstate common sense. create accountability. and most of all treat our cancers greed , ignorance and self-entitlement. exile our prisoners and bring back labor camps so our prisoners make us money or at least don’t cost us any. secure our borders . invest in our children and education more than politics.

I would use morals and common sense good leadership and with gods help I would do it with the strength of the people of the USA. I would arrest thief’s and thugs not granny’s smoking weed.(meaning prioritize) there are so many simple solutions to our problems but so many master debaters. GREED IGNORANCE AND SELF-ENTITLEMENT ARE THE CANCERS KILLING OUR SOCIETY all the other #$%$ slewn by the media and politicians and churches are the things they use to keep your attention elsewhere like a magicians slight of hand while you focus on their shenanigans your children and your children’s children are being exploited for the 1%’s benefit because our society works well for them and they can afford to keep it that way.

if they want change FIX AMERICA FIRST. its simple to do for the rich. get a Honest President to declare ww3 so they cant get rid of him before his changes take hold. go to war against GREED , IGNORANCE, SELF-ENTITLEMENT, AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS send our prisoners off to countries were at war with not our children. use our military as a border. change the charity margins so 70% goes to the charity and 30% go to the fundraisers (opposite of how it is now) invest in our children more than our prisoners. make all public office wages same as minimum wage. cap profit margins in America I don’t like paying for the mistakes of others. gas prices went up after the bp oil spill because they wanted to recover their losses.

our society runs the way it does because it is designed that way for the rich by the rich. their are many common sense simple ways to change things to make a better world to live in. legalize marijuana god made it man banned it, the rich cotton farmers were afraid of the hemp industry would make them poor. legalize prostitution maybe less children will get abducted. until we can prioritize correctly , have accountability , and worry about the American instead of the American dollar things will remain perverted.

Anyone can find fault — it’s not a sign of anything other than moderate brain activity. It’s much harder to offer creative criticism that actually improves the situation for everyone involved UNITED we stand divided we fall…there is only one race the HUMAN RACE all the divisions of political parties and skin color have demoralized this country into a sewage plant of lying stealing ignorant greedyself-entitled hypocritical idiots.

I have an appreciation of the numbers. However! if taxes on wealthy had been returned to Clinton era totals, Had immigration policies passed allowing more revenue, Had oil subsidies been reduced or ended, had speculation of oil products been curbed, Had tax loop holes been closed, had military spending on frivolous unneeded BS “not troops and their needs” been curved, Had the Republicans not caused the reduction of our credit rating, Had infrastructure spending been put in place creating hundreds of thousands of jobs, Had off shore investments been taxed, had a tariff been placed on outsourced jobs and goods produced maybe then I would be sympathetic to these claims.

Is that you Obama? I only ask because all I ever hear out of his mouth is how it is always someone else’s fault. Although, now that I think about it, he would have also called this site racist. So, never mind……..

Talking about what might have happened if things were different is a waste of breath. What has happened is done. What can be done to fix it, is the real question and the necessity at this point.

Apparently you didn’t absorb the content of the charts and don’t understand that higher taxes would not have gnerated more jobs, but fewer. One chart shows that if the immigration reform had passed, the net to our treasury would be negative.

Agrees klsouth. Many of the charts are biased in their scales. The United States has pursued a policy of lower taxes since Ronald Reagan and the charts actually, when objectively analyzed, show the results.
